Plagiocephaly is the most often type of change in head shape. The back of a side of the head is flat and this side’s ear is positioned forwards compared to the other side’s ear. The flat side’s forehead is positioned forwards, which atogether results in a parallelogram shape.

Brachycephaly’s biggest characteristic is that the back of the head is flat and the top of the head is protruding. When seen in front, the face may seem wide. If serious, the width of the face may be longer than the length of the front and back of the head.
